About

The Teller is a student-run lifestyle and literary magazine that publishes three monthly issues during the academic semester which features submissions from SUNY New Paltz students. The Tellerโ€™s mission is to deliver high-quality issues with a rich variety of content, covering the following areas of interest: Fashion, Food, Adventure, Home, Health and Wellness, and Literature and Art. In doing so, The Teller gives a voice to SUNY New Paltz students and offers diverse, fresh content to its entire readership. We are partnered alongside The Oracle to deliver the highest quality publications on our campus.

Fall of 2018 has marked the beginning of The Teller and since then we have grown to something we could have never imagined. This lifestyle and literary magazine was founded by Cloey Callahan. Since then, the team behind The Teller has helped build it to something really remarkable. We are extremely proud of our first six issues and we are excited to keep our stride going.

The Teller is open to all SUNY New Paltz students. We hold one general interest meeting in the beginning of the month at 8 p.m. in varying locations. You do not need any prior knowledge, however if you are familiar with AP style, writing and copy editing then that is great. If there is something you want to contribute to the magazine, we can make sure to find a spot for it.

Our copy editing sessions our held on one Sunday towards the end of the month at 6 p.m. in SUB 417. Again, no prior knowledge is necessary.

This is only the beginning of The Teller and we cannot wait to see how much further it grows. Please do not hesitate to fill out our contact form at any time. Beyond that, we encourage our readers to check back for updates and to subscribe to our email list to be notified when our next issue is out. Thank you!
